Just Launched Samsung K5 Digital Media Player

Hallelujah, at last someone has had the balls to step away from the conventional design of MP3 players and gone for something different.

You couldn’t get further from the iPod design if you tried. The K5 (or if you’re going to be really technical the YP-K5) is a beautiful looking MP3 player that comes with a touch screen, FM radio and built-in speakers.

Now the built-in speaker is where the Samsung MP3 player really steps away from design convention. The player which has OLED lights illuminating the touch screen also has a speaker which slips behind the player and pulls out when you want to listen to music, turning your MP3 player into a mini stereo system.

With a sexy glossy black surface and multi-directional keys on the screen the K5 rotates 90 degrees for when you don’t want your speakers out and as well as music you’ll be able to have a photo slide show while using your K5.

And the Samsung K5 boasts 30 hours of playtime when using earphones, and a lengthy six hours in speaker mode. And it will be available in 4GB, 2GB and 1GB.
