Reviewing: Bass very loud in lowest mode

Design is nice with a flat screen, but the noice made by the bass can not be tuned to a normal ear sound, Philips knows about the problem and has made a software update but gives no garantee that it solves it all...

i got the htr5224 and it connects up very easy , the only problem is i have to splice the wires and extend them to position them properly behind the sofa , sound is very clear with transformers 2 and a philips 3000 blu-ray player , very happy and a good job to philips...

Reviewing: Lots of grunt but no class

The sub-woofer has developed a loud and (apparently) unfixable hum after the guarantee ran out. The thing resets itself back to the start of the CD/DVD on an intermittant basis. Try another brand!...
