Seagate External Desktop Hard Drive 500 Gb Hi-speed Usb

Very good quick disk speed BUT the mini USB socket on the back is VERY fragile I just knocked mine onto the floor (Sat on top of a small tower sat on the floor) onto the carpet which resulted in the socket breaking of the surface mounted circuit board = Knackered. I''m now looking to buy a new circuit board to allow me to retieve the data. I opened the box (had to break the tabs) the HDD is fine and can be unplugged and fitted in side the PC if you have space & the cables (It''s just a HDD in a pretty box). Once fixed I''m going to stick it to the surface it sits on.
