Reasonable value cooker
This cooker replaced my previous Cannon model, which lasted 7 years but developed rusty areas. I don''t know if this was due to a recognised design fault, or a damp kitchen.
It''s a smart looking machine with slim dimensions (500mm wide - don''t forget to measure up!). I like the fact they don''t waste space on storage underneath. Instead, you get a larger grill. Unfortunately the grill is the weakest feature, it takes an age to heat up. You don''t get crispy bacon, you get cooked bacon which is dry. I would also recommend closing the grill door while cooking. In other words, treating it like a second oven and using the removable handle.
The oven control takes some getting used to. The trick is to press it in firmly, hold for a few seconds, then release very gently. Otherwise the safety cut-out feature takes over. The timer is also somewhat complex & temperamental. Having said all that, I''m generally pleased with my purchase, and would certainly opt for Cannon again.
