Sony Bdv E300

Have had the E300 for about a week, with Blu-ray player and amp etc in one box set-up is a simple, optical to sky HD box, hdmi to TV, plus speaker leads are the only essential connections, then good clear sound. Maybe not yet quite up to good separates quality but this one box solution gets quite close. I have Sony Bravia TV so E300 and 40W5500 work well together, with TV remote (and sky remote) controlling E300 volume. You get 5.1 output from dvd/Blu-ray, plus some satelite HD (when transmitted) otherwise 2.1 sterio output. FM radio with RDS also works well. Only slight minus is size of main box. In the pictures it may look like a standard Sony blu-ray player, but actual box is much bigger (420mm wide, 90 mm high and 385 deep (plus towards 50mm needed for cabling)) so this may not fit on all tv cabinet shelves, check before you buy.
