Started leaking after about a year

As others have stated it is very noisy but this is because it is a fast boil kettle with a powerful element so relatively understandable. Noise is not the problem now as it has started to leak when left with water in, totally unacceptable in a kettle a little over a year old that has been in the cupboard unused for 9 months

It won''t last long

This all singing all dancing kettle looks good and it cleans up beautifully and is very noisy. However in less than three years the filter developed a hole in it and a replacement is comparatively VERY expensive, and now just on three years old it has conked out completely. The ''bells and whistles'' are not necessary, the manufacturers should look at developing a longer lasting model. We were very gentle users and kept it bright and shiny to the end.
