Outstanding Pictures. Amazing quality.
Not only is the Samsung LCD TV a superb panel in picture quality the design makes for a stunning center piece for any room. This Samsung really lives up to the hype. On our previous flat panel our biggest gripe was the lack of true black, with most films and programs looking very gray and pasty, despite hours of fiddling with settings. The Samsung however has stunning black levels. Even in dark scenes detail is superbly rendered.
Another huge plus for us is the lack of motion blur that can plague some panels. The Samsung renders fast action with no hint of lag. This panel shows how good LCD TVs can be. Colours are bright and detailed with no smearing even at ''''overset'''' colour depth.
When connected to a 1080p device the picture quality is simply staggering. No matter how many times you have seen a film, on the Samsung it''''s like seeing it for the first time. textures that were previously unnoticeable suddenly become clearly defined. Using the Samsung for Game play is a joy. Hooked up to an XBOX games are incredibly detailed and this makes for a very enjoyable experience.
Sound quality is well catered for with speech being very well produced. Plenty of controls are available so getting a sound that suits you personally is no problem. General build quality gives a feeling of top quality. The frame is glossy but not distracting. Only one gripe, and a minor one at that. The Samsung has a glass front panel which can , if poorly positioned in a room, reflect lights and windows. Not a huge problem but worth considering if your room is particularly bright. Overall, the Samsung is a superbly executed panel which should appeal hugely to home cinema fans.

| The new Samsung Series 6 has been very thoughtfully designed with a great level of class and sophistication. This unique series has a red tint to the frame and a sleek round stand. The depth of the screen is 83.4mm so ideal to wall mount but is as equally as attractive on the sleek stand. The Rose Red tint adds a high level of style to the screen and the seamless frame without being too obvious or distracting. |

| The specifications of the Samsung LE40A656 LCD TV are impressive to say the least, with a full HD resolution of 1920x1080 with a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1 to ensure that the image you receive contains the deepest blacks and also to assist this Samsung has included a dynamic contrast system which enhances black levels during dark scenes. The LE40A656 also has a 120MHz mode which has been included to display a smoother playback of 24fps sources creating the image that the film director intended. Also to eliminate motion judder, Samsung has added the 100Hz Motion Plus picture processing which adds extra frames per second to ensure the outcome is super smooth. The Super Clear Panel has a combination of high and low reflective layers ensures that images are displayed with high detail and depth as well as eliminating ambient light reflection. Samsung’s DNIe Pro also adds to this with its built-in Colour and Motion Optimisers and Contrast and Detail Enhancers. Four HDMI’s complete and already outstanding package and create excellent connectivity. |

| The HD images we achieved were of a particularly high standard and had great depth and amazing colours. Standard definition was not so impressive but the way high definition is becoming more and more popular, the less this is important. SD images were not poor by a long shot but there’s just no comparison to the high quality HD images. Detail is amazing and colour reproduction is equally as good. The sound quality is definitely worth mentioning as even without a good surround sound system, dialogue and soundtracks sound amazing. |

| The Samsung LE40A656 LCD TV displays images superbly at High Definition and sound is outstanding. Gamers will be impressed with the colour reproduction and graphic detail in which games are shown as well as how the sound effects make images appear to be jumping out of the screen. |
