Canon PowerShot SD770 / IXUS 85 Digital Camera

Canon always seem to get it right when it comes to design with strong all metal bodies that combine class and sophistication with quality. The Canon Ixus 85 digital camera certainly follows suit with its stunning looks and robust body. The viewfinder is present as usual with the Canons, which you will be glad to know, as we always are. Although the 2.5" LCD screen is of a high standard, the viewfinder is always useful in dark/very sunny conditions when the screen is difficult to see. All controls are in easy reach and buttons are small and compact but still easy to operate, even for those with chunky fingers.

The features on a Canon are always pretty impressive too and the Canon Ixus 85 includes, 10 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom with optical image stabilisation, Motion Detection Technology, Face Detection, Red-eye Correction, DIGIC III processor and iSAPS, 19 shoot modes and creative mode options. A good list of all you really need on a digital camera to achieve the perfect image. Its worth making a note of the Motion Detection Technology along with the OIS as this is the key to achieve an image which has zero tolerance on blur. The two features work together to stamp out camera shake and ensure that you end up with with stunning pictures.

The Canon Ixus 85is perform as well in every area especially with the combination mentioned above with the Motion Detection Technology and OIS. Images are sharp and clear and completely blur free. Colours are reproduced brilliantly and show fine details well as well as natural skin tones. There are one or two tiny flaws that we hate to mention because we do love this camera, but the 2.5" LCD monitor is slightly disappointing for a camera of this price, and the same goes for the 3x zoom.

All in all, the Canon Ixus 85is is an excellent camera and will do you proud in any shooting situation. If you are looking for a digital camera that is classy, easy to use, a good performer with great features then this is your baby.
