De Dietrich DOD788X Double Oven

De Dietrich DOD788X Double Oven

Reviews

I agree with the previous reviewer

When it works, it''''''''s great BUT my family don''''''''t like the complicated instructions to use it AND even though I''''''''ve used it virtually every day, I still find some of the instructions overly complicated. We''''''''ve just used the pyrolitic option and guess what - it''''''''s broken down. I''''''''ve used this option several times and it''''''''s the first time it''''''''s broken down.
ProsCons
Pyrolitic cleaningOver priced Over complicated first and last purchase of De Dietrich

De Dietrich DOD 788X

After only 14 months light use, my oven failed completely after I used the Pyrolitic cleaning programme, which is a key selling feature of the oven. I am now reluctant to use this feature, in case it happens again at a cost of £160 to fix it. De Dietrich refused to repair it under their "Free 5 Year Warranty" that I registered the oven under when it was first installed, as they claim not to have any record of it on their database and generally have a very unhelpful attitude. "Computer says no" syndrome! Be warned, if you take up their so called Free Warranty, make sure you get documentary proof. It is quite complicated to use - with numerous key pad pressing to achieve the simplest of tasks. I am OK with it as the main user, but other family members who only use it occasionally have problems.

ProsCons
Looks lovely. Cool touch doors. Easy to clean.Poor after sales service. Fan is noisy and goes on ages after the cooking time has finished.
