Indesit WIDXE146S Washer Dryer

My husband and i bought this Indesit washing machine 5 months ago,as our zanussi washer dryer''s bearings went after five years of trouble free use. I consulted which website for reviews of washer dryers, and i particularly wanted silver, so according to WHICH this was a great buy, if a LITTLE noisy. We got ours in Curry''s and since then we have had nothing but trouble with it.

Firstly the noise,sounds like a cross between a pneumatic drill and a high speed train leaving the station.The machine vibrates and shakes violently,even though the engineers have been out half a dozen times to it. The clothes come out creased on 1400 spin. The dryer is dangerous,especially for children or pets (or adults as i found out) The detergent drawer has steam emitting from it and condensation which runs down the machine to the floor every time it goes into spin. It is HOT steam,and i have been burned once by it. Indesit keep replacing control panels,kick plates,trying to balance it, and the latest is that they plan to renew the u bend and hose and reprogramme the whole thing this Thursday (10 September 2009) I want the machine removed from my home, but it is like banging my head against a brick wall. Indesit are stubborn, even though i sent a letter of complaint to a head person,they have consistantly refused to refund my money (I would not trust an indesit ever again) Currys are trying to help, but may have to escalate the case,so it could be a long drawn out process.

My advice is pay a bit more money,and NEVER cut corners when buying a washer dryer.
