Rcf cutting out when in use.

Great sound on stage but the same speaker (15 inch active 350 watt) is cutting out half way through our set. The overload protection light comes on. So frustratig. What am i doing wrong? Please can someone help fix this problem.

RCF ART 310a

I use my 310As mainly for monitoring and they are just about the best powered cab with no need for eq just run them flat with decent mics and desk and they are great. I have used them for smaller playback gigs and again they are superb. Amazing bottom end from a 10inch driver. I used to have Mackie SRM450 and found these to be just as loud half the weight and two thirds the size. ALso less "self noise" i.e. a lot of volume with clarity! so the Mackies went and I bought a second set of ARt310As. I am a big fan of RCF for the money you cannot find a better cab

RCF 310a Speakers

I''ve had a few speakers for front of house .PA. including J.B.L. and Electrovoice, and these 10" RCF''s are one of the best if not thee best for vocals, nice and clear can give out quite a lot of bass for their size but I cross them over with a behringer active crossover and B&C 15" bass bins to het a punchy high power sound that can handle about 300 people, they put out 350watts and are rated at 127db which is loud, they''re not the cheapest but if your prepared to shop around you''ll get them for £340each. The only problem I had with them was they were cutting off and on while on stage I sent them back under the guarantee and they sent them back saying they''d repaired them with a new volume control, but they started to do the same thing again, obviously not sorted, until I tried fiddling about with the volume control while singing, when I put it down the way it cut out, and when I put it up it came on again, so rather than send them back for another 2 weeks, I looked into the back of them myself and found the volume control is fixed to the PCB Board, not a good idea, but it just needed re-soldering to the PCB and its been as good as gold now for about 6 months now, so if the other one gives me trouble thats where I''ll be looking at first, apart from that brilliant speakers and would buy another pair if anything happened to these ones.
ProsCons
great powerfull sound on vocals and very light to carry, one in each hand no bother.bad soldering of the volume control to the PCB.
