In-service failure

I bought a Dualit food processor in April from John Lewis. it worked fine for two months and then, after completing a blending operation with the main blade/large bowl, I stopped the machine and found that the blade assembly could not be separated from the lid. The top of the blade had fused with the plastic bearing in the centre of the lid. John Lewis gave excellent service and replaced the machine. That was in mid June. The second machine failed last week, ie almost two months after receiving, it in excactly the same way as before. John Lewis gave a full refund and I bought a Magimix since the Dualit apparently has a serious design shortcoming.

ProsCons
Unlike other food processors the bowl has a bottom seal which is a good idea but how long will it last?Quality of the top bearing
