Bif disappointment

I purchased two of those yesterday. I am really disappointed with the sound quality, I will probably try to get a refund, and maybe go for the sennheiser product. I chose that model because I liked the charging procedure : just put it on the base and it will charge cordlessly. I also thought I could trust a brand like SONY to offer a decent product : I was wrong! There is a very noticeable "hiss" noise, it''s like trying to listen to something next to a pressure cooker. No matter how I arranged the volume combination beween the source and the unaccessible knob on the headphone, the hiss is there, even with the volume knob at zero! It does get worse if you turn the volume to the max, so you''ll need a strong source : non adjustable "line out" from blu-ray/DVD players are not enough, you need a headphone out and turn the volume to the max. Doing this improved things but I got saturation before the noise issue was solved. I also got a "whistling" by passing under a neon bulb and a slight mains "hum". Now concerning the range : on the box there''s a logo that shows a 100m distance between the base inside a house and the headphone outside of it : you''d think it meant you can go mow your lawn 100m away : I thought GREAT! my garden is a lot smaller than this. I tried going outside and from about 10m (30ft), you have to orient your head in the right direction so you don''t loose the sound (It might help if I mow my lawn diagonally...) This product might be usefull if you''re partially deaf and are just trying to listen louder than the rest of the family. If, like me you''re trying to get a proper wireless home theater experience, don''t waste your money on that thing (and wish me good luck for my refund...)
ProsCons
- Easy to charge on the base - Range enough for toilets- Constant Hiss noise - Saturates easily - Useless volume button - Very wide -Range not enough for big gardens

headphones are ok

headphones are ok, wireless load and the battery is powerful enough. The only problem might be if you use headphones in a concrete building, in this case, some problems may occur. In other circumstances I would say are ideal: comfortable, durable, with a pretty good audio quality and ease of use
