Samsung PS50Q97HDX 50 in. Plasma TV

Bought the samsung ps50Q97hdx almost two years ago. Its been excellent for playing the xbox on but picture quality could have been better. Then this morning after watching for a couple of hours the screen went blank and a high pitched buzzing noise came from the speakers. I immediatley turned off the set and noticed a hairline crack on the INTERNAL screen. I intend to contact samsung in the morning but after reading various posts on internet forums im not hopefull of a happy outcome as it seems this is a common fault but samsung wont own up to a fault with their plasma tvs and are blaming owners for damaging their tv''s. My own ps50 was sat on its stand when the screen ''went'' and received no external damage at all.

i bought one of these tvs from comet it cost me £1150 after six months it broke and had a new power supply fitted which as done under warranty the tv has broke again with the same problem the warranty expired nov 2008 so samsung and comet dont want to know me i have been told that the new pwer supply that was fitted hes a 90 day warranty and if i want the set repaired it will cost me £250approx .personally i will never buy another item from comet or samsung ,so much for customer care i have decided not to get a second repair done and i am now in the process of taking comet to a small claims court to get a replacement . BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!
