Zanussi ZNB344 (11.41 cu. ft.) Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

I agree with the previous reviewer as we have the same fault. The temperature in the freezer section keeps increasing from -18 to -4 and some times less which sounds off the alarm. This started happening after we''''d had the fridge freezer about two years and does it all the time now. You expect a fridge freezer to last longer than two years. Again, I agree with the previous reviewer - the design of the fridge freezer is really good. We like the fridge being on the top half and are pleased with the spacious vegetable and salad drawer and find the bottle rack useful. But the freezer fault is annoying.

The first Zanussi Fridge failed after three months because the temperatures went haywire and the alarm kept sounding. The in-house outfit that Zanussi set to fix it (three times) were clueless. The manufacturer sent a replacement appliance from the factory and I breathed a sigh of relief, but now this unit has begun to trip the house RCD after 17 months. Checking the freezer temp. display shows that it is about to plummet to absolute zero. There is no bringing it back. Looks like the thermostat is dud. Should have bought a Bosch version from the same small independent-dealer that sold us a Bosch upright freezer around the same time. It is still perfect. This dealer was everything that (struggling) national superstore (the shop where we bought the Zanussi) wasn''t. I have never darkened their door since and never will. I hope that they struggle to their natural conclusion. It is a great shame about the fridge freezer because the Zanussi is a nice unit in terms of size and capacity and with having the fridge on the top half, it is convenient. If only it would work.
