Reviews

I always buy panasonic

I jumped on the flat screen wagon in 2004. After buying a Hyundi plasma to start (42 inch £1000) I moved to Panasonic after 1 year. I will never buy another brand I have had the px60/70/80 and all have been fantastic tvs (the px60 did suffer somewhat from image retention) It is nice to know that Panasonic have never made a bad plasma. I really cant fault there build quality /price /performance. Before I buy I always check reviews (from buyers) and Panasonic most always come out top. I am now looking to go to 50 inch and I dont doubt I will be looking at another Panasonic (plasma) If it was not for the light seepage issues of lcd I would try them. But as the old saying goes stick with what you know. I hope this review has been of some help.

A review of the Panasonic Viera TH50PX70 50 inch HD Plasma TV

Panasonic have been very successful with their plasma range where other manufacturers have decided to focus their attention on LCD TV’s. The Panasonic Viera range is a highly recognised brand in the TV world today and offers the consumer great benefits ranging from, 1080p support, HD Optimiser, Advanced 3D Colour Management and V-Real Technology. We check out the Panasonic Viera HD Ready TH50PX70 50” Plasma TV.

Design

The complete Viera range carries a high level of elegance, sophistication and class. The black frames are slender and non-distracting with their cool, matt black finish. A display stand is included with the TH50PX70CAB version which has 2 glass shelves for your HD DVD player or Blu-ray player and encases the overall home entertainment system perfectly.
Features
V-Real technology has been provided with the Panasonic Viera TH50PX70, which includes some very impressive features such as, 1080p Digital Processing Chip-Set, 1080p Digital Re-mastering Processor, 3,072 equivalent steps of gradation, a maximum of 10,000:1 contrast, HD Optimiser, Advanced 3D Colour Management, Motion Pattern Noise Reduction and a Sub-pixel controller. With this fantastic digital brain you are guaranteed the ultimate in home viewing and amazingly high picture quality. The Viera link has also been included which enables you to operate your complete Panasonic home entertainment system with a single funky remote control. Panasonic offer a range of compatible products that can be used including a Blu-ray player, DIGA DVD recorder, Home Theatre Systems and HD Camcorders and 2 HDMI connectors are present for these devices.
Performance
We found the Panasonic Viera TH50PX70 HD Ready 50” Plasma TV a complete joy to use, with no complicated operations whatsoever. The set-up is simple and the Viera Link creates an easy system to control all devices with the remote included. The image quality is superb as we entered the world of Spiderman (1) which was a good choice of film to assess the dark detail and black depth. This was displayed fantastically; however in fast moving scenes image noise was ever so slightly evident, but not off putting.
Overall Opinion
The image quality of the Panasonic TH50PX70 was superb with absolute clarity and colours were bright, sharp and very well reproduced. A great HD Ready plasma with an attractive price tag.
