What? NO AUDIO OUTPUTS!!!

My wife bought this TV about 18 months ago. As a TV, and for the price, it is good; provided that is, that you have ears like a bat! Unfortunately I don''t, but until now I have always managed to get round the problem by connecting our TV to the Hi-Fi system. Whilst it has any amount of connections including audio INPUTS, this TV has NO AUDIO OUTPUTs, (with the exception of a mini jack for headphone listening) suitable for listening via my Hi-Fi system. Contrary to the view of a previous reviewer, the TV''s on board audio is by any standards abysmal; especially for these times, when in most films it is fashionable for dialogue to be conducted in whispers. Unless the TV is positioned well away from walls, and especially away from a corner, the sound, at normal listening levels is muddy. Also, any pretence of Stereo sound is lost as the speakers are rubbish. And all for the want of a pair of basic audio output sockets!
ProsCons
NO AUDIO OUTPUTS FOR CONNECTING TO HI FI AMPLIFIER!

philips 32pfl5322/10 lcd tv

wowo, what a tv....got this lcd after my boyfriend did a lot of research before purchasing a lcd tv,as we''ve had a few large lcd tvs before and have been disappointed in a big way by so called big branded makes(yes you sony, panasonic, and jvc) This lcd delivers in everyway possible, picture quality is crystal clear, natural, vibrant, etc etc etc, sound is life like, bassy, clear with visual and audio setting to adjust to user satisfaction 2x scarts 2x hdmi etc,the tv casing is at very hi quality in black and silver with no cheap plastic feel(looks and feels like a metal finish) control is small but managable with a nice positive feel to the buttons, also comes with a solid glass(not plastic) stand. the only downside is that it hasn''t got freeview built''in, but attach a separate hdmi set-up box with 1080i upscaling(wharfedale i found was the best)and the boring pictures and sounds come to life, this tv is so good even our 3 dogs,7 cats (and the mouse under the stairs) sit, watch,bark,me-ow,purrr and squeak at the realism of the picture and sound quality of this lcd tv, all i can say is to buy buy buy or be disappointed, at £350 its a bargain

Philips 32inch Flat screen TV

The Philips 32PFL532/10 has just been released and I confidently say I am not in the least dissapointed. I purchased a Philips 15 inch flat screen about a year ago and was very pleased. That was my reason to search the 32 inch range from Philips especially...how ever I did also consider other brands as well before my purchase. The clarity of both sound and screen are very good and the two HDMI sockets allow me to use my Laptop with greater effect. Overall I am really pleased with my purchaes
ProsCons
Wealth of connection sockets, Screen clarity, Options to change scren formats, good equaliser, style simple but classic.Have''nt found any yet!
