Manfrotto 128RC not for Video
Although I was told this would be appropriate for Canon XM2 and A1, the vertical tilt mechanism is unsuitable, as tightening it causes the camera position to skew as the slack is taken up. (Unless someone can advise me on taking the slack out of the system!)
Otherwise the steel legs are robust and they resist any twisting moment and the quick-release does its job well.
