Bush LCD26TV006HDX
I write this message as my experience is the same as K66yla. I bought my set in February 2007. I was watching the Carling Cup final and the screen turned green and froze. It then went black and the green light was still on. I thought it was the Sky digital dish playing up.
When it did not correct itself I switched it off then back on again and the red light began to flash continuously. I too spoke to Bush and I was fobbed off and told to contact a TV engineer. Fortunately we have one that has been fixing televisions, videos etc in the family for years. I am currently waiting for his feedback. I spoke to one of those TV experts on line and from what he was saying this could be the end of my tv - He said that it sounds like power failure has disturbed on damaged one of the compoments. Itcould be repaired but there is a knock on effect which means that other components would have been affected. The television would work for a while, but it would breakdown again in the not too distant future.
I suspect that this kind of fault may have been exempt from cover if I had taken out an extended warranty at the time. I am very unhappy about this as I could argue that this tv is not fit for purpose. I have a Mitsubishi (old style) tv that I have had for 12 years with no problems at all. I had to remove this from another room to watch it. I would have kept this one as the main viewing tv if we weren''''t going into the digital HD age.
I am considering writing a letter of complaint to Bush. I feel that I have grounds particularly as I am clearly not the only one that has had this problem - Could be a faulty range??
