purchased one of these monsters. Bought it due to reviews, looking in the majors and the reputation of Samsung. This tv is fantastic, however like the editors review on its smaller sibling the sound is poor due to a measly 10w, you really need a surround sound system. The build quality for this product is not what you expect for the price. To remove the swivel stand took long since the screws stayed in their holes. One of the holes on the set for the bracket was also misaligned with the case. The batteries that shipped with the controls leaked...a really poor show, considering the price of the set. The remote also cannot be used with my sky box...bought a new sky remote. The picture however is fantastic...you need AV/ component/ HDMI or PC to appreciate the full depth of colour and resolution. If only a digital tuner was provided it would have been a bonus, however an external tuner is okay although you lose one input.
