| The LG 42LB1R is a stunning widescreen LCD HDTV with a sleek and shiny frame and compact and subtle operating buttons and the side panels. The speakers are situated at the side of the screen for optimum sound and there is a fancy display panel at the bottom of the screen which has small icons which light up for a one-glance view of what is running on-screen. |

| The LG 42LB1R is packed with some outstanding features putting it high up there with the most impressive LCD HDTV's on the market today. These features include, a HD Ready 1,366 x 768 pixel Super In Plane Switching LCD panel with a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and 500cd/m2 brightness, response time of 8ms, 178 degree viewing angle. A brand new picture processing engine is also in board and goes by the name of the XD Engine which acts as a highly intelligent brain for the high-def set with improved colour reproduction and video noise suppression. The sound system included is also very impressive with a sub-woofer powered by a 30W audio amplifier, two-way side speakers, seven band graphics equalizer and also Surround Max sound processing. For high definition 1080 support, there is an all-digital HDMI and two component video sockets. LG has also included a thoughtful cable tidy management system which encases the cables behind the screen and stops them from getting tangled. |
