The C210 is an ecellent product.

I am in MOSCO for two years. So I did not want to invest in an expensive TOMTOM. I bought this product expecting a few shortcomings but nothing found yet. The volume is loud, this product is good for driving as for trekking. It is fast, inexpensive, 5000 Rub, it is upgradeable. What else would want in a GPS device? Highly recommended. JJ
ProsCons
Cheap, fast and accurate

Brilliant little Mio C210

I have been using the mio C210 for about 9 months now. For the money it has to be best mini sat nav on the market. Considering the cost is around £100, it have always given me the best route for my deliveries and because it takes FULL UK POSTCODES, it gets you to the door every time. The menu system is easy to use and the route calculation is very quick, especially if you need to take a detour or miss a turn, the recalculation only takes a few seconds. You can add your own points of interest to the wide range already on the unit. You can add speed camera positions and edit or delete ones that are already installed. I have only two small poor things about the C210. Fistly the sound is not very loud for use in a truck, however aI have a speaker that connects to the earphone socket and it works fine. Secondly it is not possible to change the UK voice to a anything other than the one installed. However the shortcomings are far outweighed by the plus points.

ProsCons
Fast route calculation. Entry of Full Uk Postcodes. Ability to add speedcameras. Ability to add own POIs. Internal speaker not very loud. UK voice not changable

Mio C210 First time used A to B o problem

Went to Tesco to buy another Tomtom as mine was stolen from the car, They caused more damage to the car than the sat nav was worth. Anyway i was just about to buy a top brand when i saw the Mio C210. After pulling my brain apart for an hour and the wife nagging to go home, I purchased the Mio...!!!!! First thing i noticed was no memory card, is it crap i thaught, put the 4 x penlites AA batteries in and switched it on, picked the language, and ended up in Spain. A bit of fettling and back in the UK. I set it up to take me round the corner and down the road with no problems. Set off to Birmingham and the little devil took me right to the front door of the shop....I'm not too keen on the fixing brackets as they are too stiff to take the C210 on & off but what a little belter of a navigation system. as for the memory card i had forgotten that it did not need one....Hope this is of interest.
ProsCons
It works...and stays working not like some more expensive top brands. Good prosessor & sat lock on.Brackets for fitting, good & strong but too stiff for removing C210 to hide away from view.

My best investment so far!

Coming from the days of the dot com bubble era when fingers were burnt badly, an investment of any choice is usually met with growing suspicions. Especially since this isn't the much hallowed Tomtom. Nevertheless, I took the plunge and was greatly impressed by this little piece of kit. All good things come in small packages. The Mio certainly does. It has everything you need to drive out without having to worry about where you would be ending up. It's another great excuse not to talk to your partner whilst driving. Imagine a car full of happiness. Ah bless! The Mio is superfast at re-calculating routes. It's an amazing piece of kit at a very reasonable price. The batteries last a good 6 hours, which is more than ample. On long strecthes of the motorway you are better off switching the device off to save on the batteries. It took me to a deserted farm in one instance and that's only because I didn't select the route to option. All in all, a great piece. Snap it up!
ProsCons
Very quick Small Great software Great priceCouldn't find any.

Mio C210 Satellite Navigation / GPS Receiver Device

The guys at Mio must have been working flat out as they have managed to design a device that gives you so much more for your money compared to the top brand sat navs.  The highly specified Mio C210 has got a list of features longer than your arm and is a top performer on all fronts.

The C210 comes with the Tele Atlas map of the UK, it has full door-to-door coverage for the whole of the UK and also maps major roads in 24 European countries too.  You get to choose between 16 different languages and what we really liked is that you can choose a type of voice that you like the most (or find least annoying).

The C210’s has a sexy, curvaceous design which goes well with most car interiors.  It has a crystal-clear 2.7in touch screen and a range of user-friendly features making it really easy to use.  You have the choice of charging it up using the in-car charger - which is provided - or you can simply stick in 4 AA batteries, just next to where the SD card with 512 MB flash memory is located.  We found the on-screen buttons and clever predictive keyboard made it really easy to enter a destination, whether it was a name or a postcode.   A nifty little trick you can also do is save frequently used addresses in a list of Favourites so you don’t waste time re-typing them in.

Navigation viewing is good, as we drove along we could clearly see all the journey information, estimated time of arrival, distance, battery and signal status.  Speed limits are also shown when available too.  If you are like the majority of people that frequent on the roads - you’ll appreciate the speed camera warnings - telling you the likely locations of both fixed speed cameras and mobile, you can choose whether you are alerted visually or by audio alert.  You can download new speed camera locations when you register your device on the Mio website.

What makes the Mio C210 such a good performer is the SiRF star Processor and New Fast Processor.  It uses the latest SiRF star III GPS receiver which picks up satellite signals faster and holds them better.  This means that no matter where you are in the country, you will receive signals accurately.  The 400Mhz processor helps you calculate the route much quicker too.

Because Mio has managed to offer this device at such a reasonable price - we expect it attract family-orientated users mainly making the Points of Interest feature very useful.  Arranged in easy-to-use categories, you’ll like the impressive list of POIs that are ready to access.  They include restaurants, hotels, petrol stations, cash machines, parking, shops, etc.   Even more impressive is that many of the POIs have telephone numbers so you can even call ahead and book in to a restaurant, for example.
If you fancy leaving the car at home you can use the C210 by foot thanks to the pedestrian mode.  It navigates you around the streets making your favourite European city streets easier than ever before.

Overall, Mio have really hit the nail on the head with the C210.  It is reasonably priced and offers much more than some of the overpriced big branded Satellite Navigation Devices.  After using this piece of kit we wouldn’t consider going for any other model.
