I have had this camera for about two years, possibly a little more but to my disgust I this Praktica DCZ8 LM which is like new is raley never used. I came to use it last week and the camera would not switch on so I suspected the batteries were flat as it had been stood for a while. Today I purchased new Alkaline batteries and replaced the old ones but it still will not work. When I switch the camera on the indictor light blinks for a couple of seconds then goes off, I replaced the new batteries with other new ones and still the same. The contacts are all as clean as when I first purchased so at a loss what is wrong, I have purchased a new camera (not a Praktica) but it seems a shame that the camera is like new should be discarded.
