Bought for almost £400 but it didn''t work, taken away and replaced two weeks later. Lasted almost 3 months before required a motor, then a circuit board which burnt out, Oh then an epram ? then another circuit board, at 14 months it failed again getting so hot that I thought it would catch fire, yet there is an overheat safety device which had failed but the machine continued to heat up becomming so hot you could burn your hands on the top, or fry an egg not that i tried. Spoke to and e-mailed INDESIT who fill it with their parts since taking over Hotpoint, "Things do wear out was their response". So here is my response, unless you have good fire insurance and a good fire escape buy something else. Mine at 14 months went over the edge at Kingston council''s tip, oh I bought a Bosch, with a 2 year warranty it washes but isn''t much good as a BBQ like my Hotpoint and you cant fry an egg on top of the Bosch so I feel safe to use it. Advice a Hotpoint washing machine is really a re-badged Inses(h)it aviod it.
