Miele G1220SC 24 in. Portable Dishwasher

Re the other two reviews and the drying problem: I've got a lower spec model than this (G1140), and I had the same problem. I only use Ecover Rinse Aid (the regular stuff is full of gross chemicals that leave an aftertaste). What's worked for me is to increase the rinse level dosage to the top level (6ml), and this now works perfectly for me. I think you'll always get drips on the cutlery tray, but if you empty it last, it's not a problem.

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS. HAD MIELE YESTERDAY. ALL SORTS OF SILLY COMPLICATED REASONS WHY IT IS NOT DRYING. WHICH MAGAZINE CONTINUES TO GET IT TOTALLY WRONG. BOSCH HALF PRICE DOUBLY BEST.

Brilliant interior basket design with the unique Miele dishwasher cutlery tray freeing up loads of room inside. Built extremely solidly: supposedly to last 20 years. Unfortunately it doesnt dry the dishes (despite an A drying rating). We had to tune its settings to get anywhere near dry dishes (and it doesnt dry at all with Ecover rinse aid). Bitterly disappointed: need to use a tea towel on ALL items coming out of the dishwasher. Removeable cutlery tray a waste of time: you can remove it but youll get water all over the floor. Miele customer service has been appalling. Supposed to be PC programmable, but engineer couldnt get it to work. Checked fault codes and then just listened to the dishwasher: that was it, the limit of their testing. Further call outs charged for. People on telephone desk blunt to the point of being rude. New model: maybe theyve got it badly wrong? Ill never buy another Miele as long as I live: hope to return to original supplier.
