Denon Dvd 1720

Great Picture and Sound at a Bargain Price.

I have had my Denon DVD-1720 now for a couple of months, having previously owned Toshiba and Samsung players, my girlfriend still uses the Toshiba which is a couple of years old now. I wanted to ditch the Samsung for a while as it refused to play the audio cleanly from some DVDs particularly Star Wars 4,5&6. I looked around for a replacement for under £100, tried an LG and a Cambridge DVD player, LG was not as good as the Samsung, Cambridge went back faulty, swapped to the Denon. What a smashing piece of kit, style and build quality, superb. Then there's the picture quality which is top drawer, I've only seen better from an Arcam and a Meridian both of which cost an arm and a leg in comparison. When I get a HD Ready TV I'll probably buy the 1730 which has upscaling. You can't go wrong with either of these two, they're both class acts and at such a bargain price. Definately recommendable.
