Aiptek DV5700

I was sent this camera as a gift from the USA called the Aiptek IS-DV, DV5700 is the UK name. Retailing in the US at $100 (about £55) it is worth the money but not much more. For the point and shoot photographer, its easy to use and very forgiving. Video recording is better than expected and the mic is very sensitive. Recording time depends on the amount of memory you have. Although it boasts 5 Mega Pixles, it is enhanced rather than real so don't expect much more than 3. Setting up the camera is fairly easy although the joystick can be a bit fiddly at times. For a go anywhere use anytime fun still/video camera at a budget price, this is a good product.

ProsCons
It is a stylish looking camera at a budget price that give very good results. Being compact it will fit in the pocket or attach to the belt without being uncomfortable. Startup time is very good. The MP3 player is an added bonus if that floats your boat,LCD viewer can be hard to see in bright daylight, a viewfinder would be an advantage, there is too long a delay between pushing the button to the shutter activating, the battery cover is a bit flimsy, the joystick a bit oversensitive.
