Hoover TC2665 Bagless Canister Cyclonic

Don't buy it

The TC2665RF is complete rubbish. It works fine for a week then the filters get blocked and no spares exist, it needs emtying every 10 minutes and suction is hopeless even on maximum.

Buy The Bagged Version Instead

No surprise here, it may well be made by Hoover but the 1980 models are better. Bagless cyclonic design is a messy business; in use, the HEPA filter has to be tapped clean after each use, otherwise suction lessens straight away; noise is okay but the suction is useless. The bin is the worst to empty, having to take a mini cyclonic bell shroud out and clean and then squeezed in to refit. Suction chamber far too small; hose falls off because of cheap dirt channel connector. Has a variable suction control but has to be set to Maximum because of the lack of suction. My old paper bagged model was much better than this!
ProsCons
Telescopic tubes are height adjustable and metal. About the only positive!hopeless suction, bad design of bin with additional cyclonic bell to take out and clean, HEPA filter takes 16 hours or more to dry after being washed; no HEPA additional filter to use in the mean time, No tool tidy on the model - only the paper bagged models have this; hose falls off thanks to cheap fitting.
