We bought this to be able to play music in our bedroom - a player that wasn''t too big and bulky or with separate speakers which we''d have to accommodate somewhere. The sound, particularly the bass from this piece of equipment was far superior to all of the other portable music players in the shop and whilst the operation and buttons are pretty basic and the whole thing is not particularly high tec or futuristic, the quality of the music makes this the best value for money of the portable players we looked at.
