Great for the money
The remote control isn't very responsive, ONLY when you don't point it directly at the machine! You can't have any obstructions or it will just ignore your commands!
When I played back previous recordings from the Hard drive the audio was distorted! Don't worry since i found out how to fix it. When opening up the machine I saw some contacts over lapping causing the audio to short out. Ok let me break that down for you
Step 1:
Open up the case by removing the screws
Step 2:
Unscrew the scart sockets on the rear of the machine
Step 3:
At the bottom of the circuit board there are many pins they are all touching the metal case causing the signal to short out. Either snip off the pins touching the case, or would i would advise it put a rubber pad beneath them. This surprisingly only takes a couple of minutes to do!
What would be handy is having a digital tuner in it.
Otherwise I am really happy with the unit, it's great for the money and it defiantly removes the use VHS.
