The Sony DSC-T7 is one of the thinnest digital cameras on the market and here’s what is packed into this ultra-compact, stylish camera; 5.1 Mega Pixel image capture, 3 x optical zoom, 6 x digital zoom with a 2.5-inch LCD screen and all measuring 9.2cm wide x 6cm high and 1.5cm thick. As you would expect with Sony the slim, sleek design is an absolute eye-catcher; the body of the T7 is constructed of stainless steel, which makes it durable and gives it a good solid feel, it fits nicely into your pocket or it can be worn round your neck and it won’t weigh you down as it is only 134 g. Controls are easy to use on this Cyber-shot, most are on the back alongside the LCD screen so it is a great point and shoot camera and you can capture video as well. Images are saved on to Sony Duo cards, which has up to 2GB of memory.

Overall Opinion
There are a lot of cameras on the market that can blow the Sony DSC-T7 Digital Camera out of the water when it comes to picture quality, but how many of those cameras can fit in your shirt pocket? With the Sony DSC-T7 you are buying a light, stylish, ultra-compact camera that you can carry in your pocket and use to point-and-shoot when you are out and about with family or friends. Just one negative point: we miss the presence of a view finder.

This wafer thin camera is so thin its almost impossible to believe that there is actually a working camera inside with a fully functional 3x optical zoom. Like the coolpix S2 the lens does not move outside of the camera. The build quality is great it has a stainless steel body which gives this camera a unbreakable feel to it. The buttons are good quality and clearly laid out even if they are a bit on the small side. Picture quality is good but what stood out for us was the quality of the movies they where great much better than we had expected to see from such a small machine. The flash quality was average but when you consider it the same size as a grain of rice its becomes excellent. Overall a very good point an click camera from Sony.
