Having progressed to this canon camera via several point and shoot models i can honestly say the transition is tremendous.This camera is so easy to use ,it has the same controls and features of most smaller cameras with manual controls.Start up is super fast,less than 2 seconds from switch on to picture capture,and once captures what a picture.The detail and quality is second to none,super sharp with loads of depth of detail.No more red eye which was one of the most annoying factors with previous cameras having to do post processing on all portrait shots.Dont be put off by the controls and system it really is incredibly easy to use and gets better every time you pick it up.
