MotorolaTalkabout
I purchased a set of MotorolaTalkabout two way radios for my son for his scouting activities 7 years ago and he now uses them in his joinery buisnes to communicate with his partner where it requires. He finds them invaluable in his daily life. He even uses them at the weekend sporting activities and on car racing days.
| Pros | Cons |
| Great reception in most cases. | The belt clip comes adrift at awkward angles, e.g. crawling through tight spaces. |

Best on the market for the price
I have used this set for two years against the Icom and have found it to have a longer battery life with greater clarity over distance.
Robust enough to use without fear but only moderately waterproof and suffers from a single pin plug for accessories which puts a high load on it.
All in all 8/10
| Pros | Cons |
| Kid proof
Robust construction
Good range in Builtup areas | Single pin accessory plug - weakness
Not entirely waterproof |

Good basic walkie-talkie
Works OK on the ski slopes. Rechargeable battery life isn''''t brilliant, but also takes three standard AAs so no problem really. Cheap and reliable.
