Picture quality excellent On-board Freeview tuner means no set top box necessary after 2006, i-link system means DVD recorder can use the tv digital tuner as a programme source. The set looks good with its integral stand. Biggest achilles heel is sound quality - very poor on music and entirely lacking in mid range for voice. There are plenty of connections to fit aftermarket home cinema sound systems to the tv but this negates the point of having a small screen in a bedroom environment - far too much clutter. Sound quality lets this product down so much that I would not buy again. User manual is appallingly badly translated into English which is an eyebrow-raiser given JVC''s reputation for quality. It reads as if it were translated from the original Japanese by a Chinese student whilst on the bus to school. Summary: Loads of useful interconnects, great picture, lousy sound.
