Hotpoint Fza 81 242

Both this and the Hotpoint RlA81 are pants considering combined nearly a £1,000 . I think the problem with 81242 is always door related , thus causing the unit to not freeze enough , remidy height adjustment or leveling , A Hotpoint engineer Charged £150-00 to adjust the leg hhahhahahahhahha, defrosted stuff several times before this was done, This week only frozen bottom 3 compartments i,m gonna try and re adjust
ProsCons
not reallypretty much everything , and somethings eating away at the silver colouring

Poor qualitiy drawers and interior design

I am so disappointed with my FZA81 Freezer having decided to buy a frost free freezer after previously owning a large chest freezer. The drawers are not capable of holding meat or fruit of any reasonable weight and have cracked, twisted, dropped off runners. The drawers aren''t fit for purpose especially for anyone who wishes to use them to store summer produce for using during the winter months of buys meat in bulk. I would not entertain buying another Hotpoit freezer unless the interior design is vastly improved.
ProsCons
Interior design of sides (Drawer runners) and drawers

poor construction

Hot point, what sort of plastic are you using for the draws etc, they bend and break, drop off the runners, perhaps it`s my fault, as I have used it!!! as I was told in telephone conversation with Hotpoint staff some time ago. poor interior design. won`t take any weight. ie meat.

My crap freezer

I am so disappointed with my fza 81. I have had this freezer from new, and it is less than three years old. it has decided to let me down in the height of summer when it is most needed. I have a large family and due to the recession I have found that I am struggling to make ends meat and have had to take in a lodger, which, allthough helpful with my financial situation, it has increased my reliance on my freezer which has also cost me somewhere in the region of £300 in spoilt food that has had to be thrown away. to say I''m not happy is a massive understatement. f#!k you Hotpoint!

ProsCons
longavity

Very short life

Today I''m replacing a hotpoint FZA81 Freezer. It is only cooling to -8 degrees celsius. Apparently if you call service in ROI, it will cost E114 to look at it and decide whether or not to fix it or E199 in installments to examine it and fix if possible if it cant be fixed then theres no charge on the second option. crap odds by hotpoint. less than 5 years old and leaving my home today looking like new. Very disappointed with it. It stood beside a matching upright fridge. The colour was sandstone and now Hotpoint dont make any more appliances in that colour so my new one is going to be polar white and my fridge in sandstone. Very annoyed with Hotpoint
ProsCons
