Hotpoint VTD00P Dryer

There was a time when Hotpoint actually stood for good quality, reliable domestic appliances. A number of years ago Hotpoint was taken over by Indesit and since then the quality has been pretty ropey. I have had this tumble dryer for about 3 years, in that time I have replaced the heater element, a new belt, new rear and front bearings and new drum shaft as the last one snapped! (A common fault it seems). Now the dryer is generating an almighty vibration and buzzing even though it has a new front and rear bearing/seals. I''m pretty much on the verge on dumping it and buying a new one!
