Refined
Good, well built headphones, from Beyerdynamics. Finished in a slate gray. Comfortable ear pads.
While possibly, some other headphones, of this price level, lack a substantial base, this does not apply to the DT231''''s. The base is well defined, smooth. In fact, smooth really sums up the sound quality overall. If you are looking for a more aggressive, more lively sound from headphones you may be a little dissapointed with these 231''''s. The sound stage is good. The detail level enables you the listener, to be able to pick up the less enhanced sounds. I will say, that I do not listen to classical music, but I would make a guess that these phones would be ideal with this genre of music.
To sum up, I would define the sound from these, as being refined, slightly laid back. Not quite the sort of phone I was looking for, given the type of music I enjoy listening to, but none the less, still pleased I made the purchase.

| Well made. Good, refined sound. Quite a rich bass. | Cannot really suggest anything here. Other than the sound is rather laid back. |
