Bose TriPort Acoustic Headphones Review
Bose is for iPod like bread is for butter. It’s undeniable that they work so impressively together and continuously put on such an awesome performance. Bose are the business when it comes to technological innovation giving us the best of what we need. Especially when the iPod earbud earphones are so disappointing. Design Bose TriPort Acoustic Headphones could be described as head candy that is good enough to eat. The innovative blue design makes them stand out from the usual black ones that we’ve come to expect. Everything else on them is black including the cushioned ear pieces. Suitable for all head sizes, the headband can stretch up to 7.6cm in length. The ear cushions are ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and you can really tell. I tested them out for two weeks whilst catching tubes on the London underground which was often absolutely sweltering hot and I found the ear cushions remained breathable without slipping down which was impressive. They come with a 1.5m extension cord which was good for plugging into my docking station whilst lying on the couch. They also come with a carrying bag which acts as handy storage for your music player too.
| Performance When I first came across the TriPort headphones I hadn’t a clue what they were all about and wondered why they cost a packet – but it all became very clear. Bose have identified that run-of-the-mill headphones are unable to create low notes as they only have small drivers in the earcups. Knowing this, the TriPort acoustic headphone structure now features small ports in each earcup allowing the drivers to create deep lows. Even though the TriPort acoustic headphones contain more ports in the earcups, they are surprisingly lightweight, weighing a tiny 142g including cables. For earphones so small and light the sound is out of this world. Bose use psychoacoustics - through this they have developed proprietary acoustic equalization techniques. They fine-tune the frequency response of the headphones offering a superb sound performance. The sound was exceptionally rich with full, natural low notes. | Overall Opinion The Bose TriPort Acoustic Headphones offer amazing performance. No other headphones compare as far as I am concerned. The sound quality is superb and combining that with the comfort factor, Bose have got a real winner here! | | Lisa Malyon | |
