Hi Neil,

To be honest I would say wait for the price of large 50 inch plasmas to go down in price. As rear projection TV's goes this is a good model but from what I can see it dose not have a HDMI connection. Which will mean you will not be able to hook it up to the next generation of DVD Players (HD DVD Players) that will be avaliable in the UK from the end of this year.

If you like Sony and want a good quality picture I would urge you to take a look at the Sony KDL-40V2000.

Hi guys, Yes got this delivered this week for free (a ecommerce company are running a free promoton) and its a nice bit of kit. Make sure you have a decent input device to bring out the best on this stylish tv.

Hi There...could you explain a bit more about ""a decent input device"" please. I have one of these tellys coming on Tuesday from John Lewis who give a 5 year guarantee which I reckon is worth 250 quid.

Gordie, just make sure the source that you use, IE dvd or set top box is HI-def to really benefit from the screen. Its a must with large tellys really.
