The Philips LX8500W is a 7 Speakers and Subwoofer home theatre system with Receiver, DVD Player and Radio Tuner included in the box. This system supports Dolby Digital®, DTS® and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound and in addition to video, it can play MPEG4, DivX and MP3 files from DVD Video, VCD and SVCD disks. The radio tuner will receive FM has 20 presets and a Yes remote control is included. Composite x 1, S-Video x 1 and Component x 1 outputs are available on this system.

Why is it that this system that i bought could not play all DVD films?

I bought this phillips about two years ago and it is giving me problems. The red light on both the subhoofer and dvd player comes on but nothing happens when you press any button both on the dvd player and remote control. It has been working all along.

This system I have already 3 years.
It is one problem - one of rear speakers are not working.
What is possible reason?
