ive just installed another additional hard drive but i cant see it on my computer do i need to do something with the bios !

hello, ive been asked to sort out a friends very slow computer - well, apart from the inevitable software stupidities (would you believe both mcafee and avg running?) - i found she only has 512k memory - with a 2gb swap. hmm. plainly she needs more memory.

she has a ms 6712 1.0 motherboard, bios 04/02/01 with an amd athlon xp 2.1 ghz.

i figure she needs at least 1gb, preferably 2gb of memory.

could you advise what type, and the cheapest solution to achieve this (i know how to installing the memory). also, do you ship to france? thats where she lives (me too).
