im having problems switching the system on after a two week holiday the gnav10 was not in uce in this period can you give me any advise

I also have had this problem. I have found that the battery will not charge and it will only start up when i plug it into the mains or car wires. However, it doesnt seem to detect where i am. What a waste of money as i cant find my receipt and no one will help me. Any advice greatful

I have just got one and it took about 10 minutes to find the satelites and locate me. You have to switch it on and be patient, very patient

i have the same sat nav, i had the same problem, try turning the battery off, and then restart and let the satnav reboot , it worked for me.

have had the gnav10 for two years now. have had it stop working when left for a couple of weeks, to sort this out was a case of re-booting the the battery system by turning it on and off by the switch on the bottom of the system, now it has stoped picking up the satelites completly the only thing i can think of is the the leads are broken in side from use so now trying to find ext/arial

I am having problems with my Goodmans GNAV10,

I have the same problem with my Goodmans GNAV10, wish I had never bought it. I tried to use it and it will not charge on the mains charger and I get nothing when I try to charge it on the car charger either.

i have just emailed another goodmans sat nav user, turn sat nav off turn battery off switch at the bottom, turn battery back on , then turn sat nav back on system will then reboot, worked for me, good luck

Thanks for this info mine would not reboot and seemed to not charge I have just turned the switch on and off as you suggested and hey presto it worked. Thanks! Excellent advice

i have the goodmans g nav 10 only haveing this product 2 days it would not turn on had to reboot it and since haveing it i cant get it to hook up to my pc to down load new maps goodmans says problem lies with my computer after hireing a i.t expert to have a look @ it he cant get it to hook up as well waste of cash if any one can help me might be sumthing stupid that i have not done plz e-mail me @ dcolin1981@aol.com

I have gnav10 and have had occasion to reinstall the software,unfortunatley disk 2 with maps of ukireland is damaged.
Where could I get it replaced or possibly download a replacement from.

my gnav10 will not charge and keeps switching itself off so every time you switch the car engine off the sat nav goes off then switch the engine on again and you have to go through the motions of starting the sat nav up from scratch, can you get a new battery for these?

Have had gnav10 for 2 years now with only minor frustrations. I have learnt to get along with mine and love to use it when we go to france, but I find that the roads in france are changing so fast that my maps are out of date. Where would I get an update for my system?
