FM transmitters for MP3 players are now legal in the UK Last Friday, and after a long campaign, the regulator Ofcom finally altered the 1949 Wireless Telegraphy Act which banned the use of FM transmitters to connect MP3 players and other personal audio devices wirelessly to radios and in-car entertainment systems as they could potentially cause interference to broadcast services.This means that accessories like the iTrip and other low power FM transmitters can now be used in the UK to send songs wirelessly from your iPod to your car stereo. |
