Hobs come in several sizes and two fuel types. The most popular combination is the 60cm Gas Hob Cobination as this is what is fitted in most homes as standard. Stainless steel hobs are very popular especially with the Rapid wok burner.

Electric Hobs have changed in the past couple of years with new technologies like Induction making electric hobs quicker and easier to use. The most popular form of electric hob is Halogen. Electric hobs a sometimes referred to as Ceramic this is because of the Black Ceran glass that the pans sit on.

	Siemens EH775601E Electric 60CM Review - 26/1/2009 I have recently ruined an expensive Italian kettle and a saucepan as unlike some much cheaper brands, Siemens hobs do not cut out if a pan or kettle boils dry. Apart from that, they look good but as I am very safety conscious, I will be changing it for a cheaper, safer one.
