Whirlpool S25DRSS33 American Fridge Freezer

My husband bought me this appliance one month ago the ice tastes like chemicals and so does the water i cant drink it at all and everyone notices it even if you put ice in a glass of orange juice you can still taste chemicals why is this and another thing that has annoyed me is that the alarm is constantly going off and we have to keep resetting it all through the night and we have called out an engineer and we have to wait a week for them to call i am not happy with this appliance what so ever has anyone any idea how to set this freezer properly only we never had a trouble shooter book with it mrs christine law
