Vantec MRK-300STBK is excellent

I never had any hassles with mine and cannot understand why they were discontinued. I wishcould buy a second or third Vantec MRK-300STBK for inter-PC intercopyabilty. I had unpleasnat experiences with rival USB external hard drives and prefer the Vantec MRK-300STBK.

Pros:

It is easy to install. Mine runs quietly. It is reliable and allows safe storage offsite. Backups are fast: about 18 minutes for a 250 Gig drive (half full).

Cons:

Pity it was discontinued. They are now hard to obtain in South Africa.
