Tomtom Go 910 Sat Nav Gps Receiver
User Reviews of the Tomtom GO 910 Sat Nav / GPS Receiver

Although this is a state of the art model, I was frustrated by the poor bracket mount for the car. Within a few weeks is began to droop, and by the time i had had this for 6 months, the onlt way I could see the screen wast to support the Tom Tom on the car dash.
It has now broken !
And getting a spare is proving very difficult.
Unit froze when downloading programmes from computer. Had to research internet to find out what to do - reset button hard to find, let alone reset. When the unit worked it was great - used it in Italy. However, tried to update the software again and it froze completely, reset wouldn't work, had to let power run down to turn it off. Exchanged it for a new unit - froze as soon as I turned it on. Semms there's a major software fault on 910. Got a refund, put me off Tomtom completely. Also fell off windscreen, but that was probably my fault.

This satnav has many cool features but one realy bad one - it freezes up after you try to disconnect from your PC using the "TomTom Home" software. Its not just mine that does this neither....
So far TomTom have given no indication on how or when they will fix it. I work around it by closing down the software then disconnecting the TomTom using Windows as you would a flash drive.

Pros:
Practically everything else, even with the faults I love it.
Cons:
the freezing, the screen unviewable in bright sunlight, rubber feet coming away, new phones ok for hands free but many not data transfer compatible.
