Have been running one for a year and finally giving up on it. Locks up frequently requiring a restart, recordings either don''t record or become corrupt. Had to reformat hard drive as it reckoned there was nothing recorded at all after more recent lock and reload. Now it won''t record a series at all. Hard drive contantly spins even when in standby so wasting power too. Never again will I buy a Thomson.

I bought one of these boxes over a year ago, within 6 months it had jammed up so many times it was unbelievable. The programmes started to corrupt and the whole thing would freeze up. I took it back to Tesco and they changed it, had the same problem 3 months later, but had to go through Tesco helpline who told me it was my aerial and I needed a digital one. The whole reason for buying the box was so I would not need a digital aerial. Still jamming up, Tesco gets stroppy when you ring them and keep getting you to reboot it. Think twice before buying one of these, or if you do make sure you can do a straight swap and take it back to the shopl

Pros:
Not much
Cons:
Box freezes a lot, programmes become corrupt

I bought this product to replace my Sky +Satellite as I did not want to pay to watch tv. Seemed OK at first crashing now and then which was rectified by switching it off from the mains for a couple of minutes and then restarting it. Just after 12 months it packed up completely makes you wonder if it has a built in limited life-expectancy chip. I miss my Sky+ No wonder the Retailers try and sell you a extended warranty when purchasing products like these.

Pros:
Can''t think of any.
Cons:
Crashing a lot.
