Thomson DHD4000 Freeview Dtv Receiver 20-HOURS Video Recorder
User Reviews of the Thomson DHD4000 Freeview Dtv Receiver 20-HOURS Video Recorder
I bought this item on the recommendation of a friend and it has had a real pounding in the last four months. Great benefit being able to record two (yes TWO !) separate programmes AND watch one that you made earlier. I was uncertain at first but this has been excellent. I don't care that it looks just like a box - it does what it says and does it well. Quality is good - "now am I live or recorded?" The 40 gig is okay but it archives well to VHS so you always have a fall back position. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone. And by the way, when it is out of warranty you can upgrade that hard drive...

Pros:
Sound quality, picture quality, ease of use, twin tuners. I haven't found anything that I want it to do yet that it can't.
Cons:
Crashes now and then but you don't necessarily lose anything, just reboot by removing power for a moment. We are very demanding on it for simultaneous recording/viewing.
