Good value (You get what you pay for)

First the good: This product does everything it claims to, and does it well for the price. I have had no problems apart from a mix up with the video output setup! Its played 99% of the files I put on it (100% if I convert problem files to DivX). Comes with everything you need in the box (including component leads and batteries). Excellent value for the price. The Bad: The manual is poor, however its pretty easy to work out how everything works. The interface is also a bit rubbish but does the job. You may need to shorten some filenames but this only need be done once. Again you get what you pay for. Note: If you get a red tint when using component make sure the unit is not outputting composite. The USB cable needs to be unplugged to get a picture via TV you can''t copy files while playing media. Some people say their unit gets hot, well mine gets no hotter than my non media HDD enclosure. Just give it some room and dont cover it up. Obvious really!
Pros:
Plays almost everything Much cheaper than the competition Good selection of accessories Ready to use from the box
Cons:
Manual Interface
Ease Of Use
Durability

Don't do it..

I couldnt review this device in less than 10,000 characters, and unbeatable only allows up to 1000, so I'm going to have to make this short: The way this devices navigates its files is shockingly poor. In file browse mode, you can only see 12 characters of a filename at a time, in music browse mode all your mp3 are dumped into one long list with no search function and no indication of what album they are from. In video browse mode your videos are shown 4 per page and take 2 minutes to load the previews. The card reader can only be used to slowly copy files to the internal drive one at a time. You have to power off to switch between hard disk and card reader. Just dont buy this device for the media player abilities - they are useless. The only usability you can get out of it is to rename all your files so they are shorter than 12 character names, dont put any more than 7 files/folders in any folder and only use it for videos.
Pros:
Its cheap, but it isnt value for money. Spend twice the amount and get a 10 times better interface.
Cons:
No upgradable firmware No support from manufacturer Card reader isnt accessible from the PC via USB
